<p>PUL-I-ALAM (Pajhwok): Unidentified gunmen have killed a mother along with three daughters in central Logar province, an official said on Saturday.</p>
<p>Deedar Lawang, the governor’s spokesman, confirmed the incident and said four people were shot dead on the spot and two others injured, who were currently under medical treatment.</p>
<p>Abdullah Khan, a resident of the area, said the incident took place in the Nanwayan village of Pul-i-Alam, the provincial capital, late on Friday night.</p>
<p>Khan added the woman’s husband and son were currently in Saudi Arabia for work. It is said the murders have been committed by the victims’ relatives.</p>
<p>Police spokesman Shahpur Ahmadzai said an investigating team had reached the site and a probe into the attack was ongoing.</p>
<p>“We will try to arrest the perpetrators after the probe,” he added. There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the killings.</p>
