FEROZKOH (Pajhwok): A young woman who lost her husband in a car bomb blast four days ago in Ferozkoh, the capital of western Ghor and the government to reconcile and cease violence.

Sixteen people were killed and over 150 others injured in the car-bombing in front of state institutions.

Seema, who lost her husband in the blast, was screaming and asked how she would look after her four children.

A mentally perturbed Seema told Pajhwok Afghan News that without her life-partner, it was difficult for her to move forward with the life.

“I want the government and the Taliban to establish peace, so more blood is not shed and more people are not killed. The Taliban also have wives and children, they should return to their homes and stop killing people,” she said.

She told the Taliban and the government that their fighting would produce no positive result but destruction.

Faqir Ahmad, an elderly blind man, was standing by the grave of his 27-year-old son, who was killed in the recent blast and was crying.

“My young son! How did you go under the soil? I wish I would have gone instead of you,” he said.

Referring to the decades-old fighting in the country, he said this was not uncommon that a father buried his young son, a story daily repeated in this country.

He also asked the Taliban to reconcile because everyone was tired of fighting and have lost patience.

This report has been produced by Pajhwok and financially supported by UNDP and Denmark.
