JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Two would-be suicide bombers have been arrested before reaching their target in eastern Nangarhar province, an official said on Monday.
Nangarhar Governor Zia-ul-Haq Amarkhel identified one of the detainees as Abdullah, a resident of Kunar province, saying he had been brainwashed by Taliban member Abu Saeed.
Abdullah e was arrested by National Directorate of Security (NDS) personnel in Jalalabad City’s eighth municipality district.
The second suicide bomber, Zaheerullah, brainwashed by Daesh, was arrested by NDS personnel from Chaparhar district. A resident of Kunar, he currently lived in Naranj Bagh locality of Jalalabad.
Amarkhel urged people and security forces to work day and night in full coordination to ensure security.
