FEROZKOH (Pajhwok): The provincial council’s deputy head for western Ghor province was killed and two others injured in a magnetic bomb blast on Tuesday.
Provincial hospital director Dr. Mohammad Omar Lalzad told Pajhwok Afghan News that the provincial council deputy chief, Abdul Rahman Atshan, was killed and provincial council member Abdul Rahim Raza Zadah and his son were seriously injured in the blast.
They were travelling from the provincial council office to the bazaar when a magnetic bomb attached to their vehicle exploded.
Acting Governor Habibullah Radmanesh also confirmed the incident but said nothing about casualties.
Security sources declined to comment in this regard.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
