KABUL (Pajhwok): Five customs officials have been detained on charges of corruption in eastern Nangarhar province, police say.
The officials were arrested late Saturday night by CID investigators from the Interior Ministry, Nangarhar police said.
According to a Kabul-based private TV channel, the suspects are Naqibullah, Mohammad Ayub, Syed Zahir, Syed Farooq, and Sakhi Dad.
Last month, police had nabbed 20 customs officers at the Torkham crossing on corruption accusations.
