KABUL (Pajhwok): At least four civilians have been released from a Taliban-controlled prison in southern Helmand province, the Ministry of Defence said on Sunday.
In a statement, MoD said that commandos of Afghan National Army (ANA) raided the Taliban jail in Greshk district on Saturday night.
Four civilians were freed from the Taliban jail. The 215th Maiwand Military Corps also confirmed the overnight commando raid.
The Taliban, however, have not yet commented in this regard.
