PUL-I-ALAM (Pajhwok): Seven people have been killed and five others wounded as a result of clash over ownership of state land in Charkh district of central Logar province, an official said on Sunday.
Khalil Kamal, district’s administrative chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident took place in Qala-i-Naw area of the district.
He said the clash took erupted between the Kharoti and Tarin tribes over the state-grabbed land which resulted in killing of seven individuals from both sides.
He said thousands of acres of government land in the district had been grabbed by landlords and sold to the people.
Mattiullah, a resident of the area, told Pajhwok seven people were killed and five others injured in the clash.
