KABUL (Pajhwok): Unidentified gunmen have shot and killed a bodyguard of the Meshrano Jirga or senate chairman.
Senate chairman FazalHadiMuslimyar in a Facebook post identified his slain bodyguard as HabibHairan.
He said Hairan was on his way home on leave when he was killed by terrorists. He did not elaborate.
The upper house chairman said his bodyguard was a conscientious young man, poet and writer and had an outstanding talent and was a patriotic personality.
When MashranoJirga secretary AbdulMuqtadirNasiri was asked about the incident he said details in this regard would be shared later.
