KABUL (Pajhwok): Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has expressed deep concern over escalating violence in Afghanistan and renewed Ankara’s commitment to take every step for peace and stability in Afghanistan.
In a telephonic conversation with President Ashraf Ghani late on Wednesday, Erdoğan said he was closely monitoring situation in Afghanistan.
President Ashraf Ghani offered his condolences and sympathy over human, financial and environmental losses as a result of wild fire in Turkey Antalya and Adana cities.
Ghani also hailed Ankara’s stance over escalating violence by the Taliban and termed Ankara’s role being a valuable and powerful Islamic country vital in Afghan peace process.
Both leaders have discussed expansion of bilateral relationships in various fields.
