HERAT (Pajhwok): Tens of women in western Herat province on Friday staged protest demanding the protection of their rights.
They said women comprised half of the society and their presence in schools, universities and health centre was not enough.
They stressed women should be given full participation in political, economic and social sector.
Protesting women said the Taliban polices raised questions over participation of women in the government.
They stressed over full participation of women in government and said women struggled for their rights for years and that should not go in vain.
They also warned no one could prevent their way in social and political participation.
