KABUL (Pajhwok): Kazakhstan has pledged to provide 5,000 tonnes of flour assistance to Afghanistan, an official said on Monday.
Taliban Doha Office spokesperson Dr. Mohammad Naeem tweeted: “Kazakhstan president’s special representative on Sunday met Deputy Prime Minister Mullah Baradar and handed him documents for 5,000 tonnes of flour assistance to Afghanistan.”
Separately, Kazakh special representative met acting Foreign Minister Ameer Khan Muttaqi, who thanked the Central Asian country for its support to Afghanistan.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Abdul Qahar Balkhi said the visiting dignitary hailed Afghan government’s efforts to ensure peace and stability.
He added Kazakhstan enjoyed warm relations with all Central Asian nations.
