KABUL (Pajhwok): Nearly a dozen Afghan nationals have been detained from a hotel in Kathmandu, a media report said on Monday.
Eleven Afghans were arrested in Sinamangal area on Monday morning, a Crime Investigation Bureau spokesperson was quoted as saying.
Shyam Kumar Mahato told khabarhub, a news website: “We have arrested the foreigners on the basis of information that they are hiding in a hotel in Sinamangal.”
Police said they were investigating Indian documents seized from the detainees.
Afghans have been fleeing their country since the Taliban seized power in mid-August. Some of them have reportedly entered Nepal via India.
