ICRC to step up humanitarian efforts in Afghanistan

KABUL (Pajhwok): Acting Interior Minister Sirajuddin Haqqani has discussed matters related to the security of aid organisations and humanitarian assistance with a delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).

On its Twitter account, the Interior Ministry said both sides discussed the security of aid-providing organisations and the state of humanitarian assistance in the country.

During the meeting, the ICRC pledged continued humanitarian support to the people of Afghanistan at this critical moment.

The delegation also promised to accelerate its humanitarian activities in Afghanistan.
