KABUL (Pajhwok): The cabinet has approved 53.9 billion afghanis budget for the last three months of this solar year, with only 4.7 billion afghanis going to development activities.
On Tuesday, the cabinet decided that the fiscal year will start from the first date of solar year.
AnamullahSamangani, deputy spokesman of the government, wrote on his Twitter page, quoting the Ministry of Finance: "The budget for the last three months (Jaddi, Dalwa and Hutt) was approved, with the total outlay of 53.9 billion afghanis.”
He said out of this budget, 49.2 billion afghanis had been set aside as general budget and 4.7 billion afghanis as development budget.
According to Samangani, the purpose of approving the budget for the last three months was to transfer the fiscal year to the solar year.
