KABUL (Pajhwok): Officials say 60 people have been arrested in connection with 47 separate criminal cases in capital Kabul over the last one week.
The cases of 53 suspects have been processed and the convicts sent to Pul-i-Charkhi prison, they said.
Khalid Malangiar, Kabul police spokesman, in a video clip posted on his Twitter account shows deputy Kabul crime branch chief, QariAmanullah Amin as saying that the detainees include murderers, kidnappers, sellers of narcotics and thieves.
Without giving details, he added that the detainees also included a number of female offenders who had been charged with robbery and moral crimes.
The cases of 53 detainees have been completed and the criminals were sent to Pul-i-Charkhi Prison, he said.
He assured people that security forces were always active and Kabul people were cooperating with them in improving security of the capital.
