KABUL (Pajhwok): Police have arrested 16 men allegedly involved in a series of house burglaries across the capital, an official said on Saturday.
The suspects are also accused of killing two members of a family and wounding another during a robbery.
Police spokesman Khalid Zadran wrote on his X account that security forces from the 8th Police District arrested the 16-member gang, which had allegedly been carrying out burglaries in different parts of the capital.
He said: “During a robbery at a house in the Bani Hisar area of the 8th Police District, the suspects martyred two members of the household and wounded another.”
Zadran added that the suspects were arrested in a swift operation by security forces, during which two vehicles and five pistols were seized.
He said the detained suspects had confessed to their crimes.
