KABUL (Pajhwok): As the war in Ukraine continues, Moscow and Kieve have swapped prisoners, reports a Russian media outlet.
The Russian human rights commissioner said the warring sides conducted an 86-for-86 exchange in the Vladimir region.
The state-run TASS news agency quoted Tatyana Moskalkova as telling journalists on Tuesday: “The last exchange was 86 for 86.”
She added the planned swap of four Rosatom employees, who are still stuck in Ukraine, failed at the eleventh hour.
Ukraine believed its civilians should be freed, Moskalkova said, confirming that she had received their list. “I am working on it now.”
