KABUL (Pajhwok): Noted religious scholar Sardar Wali Saqib has been killed by unknown gunmen in the capital Kabul, an official said on Thursday.
Interior Ministry spokesperson Abdul Nafai Takor said Saqib was shot dead in the Kota-i-Sangi area of Kabul on Wednesday night.
He said a team had been tasked with investigating the incident. The team’s finding would be shared once probe was completed, he promised.
Meanwhile, the Naranj Bagh Dar-ul-Ulum also confirmed the killing of Saqib and said his funeral would be offered today (Thursday) in Jalalabad.
