KUNDUZ CITY (Pajhwok): An oxygen producing plant worth $200,000 million has been put into service in northern Kunduz province, an official said on Sunday.
Funded by the Agha Khan Foundation, the plant was recently established in Kunduz City, the provincial capital, Najibullah Sahil, director of public health director, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
He said the device produced 100 balloons of oxygen in 24 hours.
Mohammad Naeem Mangal, director of zonal hospital in Kunduz, said they previously bought oxygen but currently their need was met with the oxygen producing device.
Latfullah, a relative of a patient in the hospital, said: “In the past, there was a shortage of oxygen, currently it is available in the hospital and the problem has been solved.”
