Over 62,000 tonnes of goods imported, exported via railways

KABUL (Pajhwok): In the last one week, 59,901 tonnes of goods were imported from other countries through three Afghanistan's railway routes and 2,207 tonnes exported.

In a statement, the Afghanistan Railway Authority stated that (62,108) metric tons of goods were transported through the Afghanistan Railway last week --- from July 15 to 21.

The statement added 39,950 tonns of petroleum products were imported to through Haritaran, (11052 tons) through Aqina and (8898 tons) through Turghondi railway tracks.

A total of 2,207 tonnes of goods were exported through railway last week.

The Afghanistan Railway Authority said it was trying to provide suitable conditions for more transfers and provide necessary facilities to traders.
