KABUL (Pajhwok): At least five people were killed after a flash flood overturned a 580 type passenger bus on the Kabul-Kandahar highway in southern Ghazni province.
Police Spokesperson Abu KhalidSarhadi told Pajhwok Afghan News that the incident happened in Matai area of Gilan district late last night.
Sarhadi said: “The passenger bus was heading to Kandahar province from Kabul when a flash flood overturned it. Five passenger including two women and three children died in the incident.”
He could not offer any information about the wounded or missing passengers.
Inayatullah, a resident, told Pajhwok that five passengers died and eight more were missing and the residents and villagers were searching for them.
