KABUL (Pajhwok): A joint committee of Afghanistan and Pakistan has launched work to resolve disputed on Duran Line between the two countries, an official said on Wednesday.
One person was killed and six others injured in a fire fight on Durand Line in the Dand-i-Patan District.
Government Spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid told media outlets that a joint committee will work to resolve disputes on Durand Line adding that the ‘Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’ (IEA) was against conflict.
“IEA is committed not to engage in armed conflict with any neighbor. The people of Afghanistan recently achieved peace and we did not want to disturbed it, in the meantime wanted to protect our borders and soil,” he said.
He added a joint committee of Afghanistan and Pakistan work together to resolve the problems on Durand Line, he added.
