MAZAR-I-SHARIF (Pajhwok): The newly forced Commercial Advertisement Commission in northern Balkh province has asked manufacturing companies to make advertisements according to the quality of their products, otherwise they would be dealt with legally.
The commission, led by the Department of Trade and Industry and comprising representatives of various departments, was established and jerked into action today.
Officials said the panel was tasked with preventing low-quality manufactured and imported goods from being supplied to the market.
Qari Amir Mohammad Muttaqi, Balkh commerce and industry department head, said the commission was established under the leadership of the Ministry of Trade and Industry and it started working in Balkh province today.
He said the body would prevent the supply and advertising of low-quality goods and unrealistic services.
Balkh Chamber of Industry and Mines President Imamuddin Sanai Zada said advertisements played an important role in promoting services and goods, but the ads should be made according to the quality and standard of the goods.
