12-year-old boy drowns in Sar-i-Pul flooding

SAR-I-PUL CITY (Pajhwok): A 12-year-old boy has drowned in flash floods in the Al Jihad district of northern Sar-i-Pul province, an official said on Saturday.

Syed Sifatullah, director of natural disaster management, told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident took place on Friday night.

He said 12-year-old Salim, son of Mohammad Alam, lost his life as a result of drowning in the rain-induced flooding.
