KABUL (Pajhwok): About nine tankers of substandard fuel have been sent back to Iran, says the Afghanistan National Standards Authority (ANSA).
Ashoqullah Waziri, spokesman for ANSA, told journalists the fuel tankers were sent back to Iran from western Farah province.
He said: “This administration has taken strong measures to prevent the import of low-quality fuel (into the country).”
Waziri asked all businesspeople to import high-quality goods into Afghanistan. He warned those who violated rules would be dealt with under the law.
Two weeks ago, ANSA had sent back 18 tankers of sub-standard fuel to the neighbouring country.
