KABUL (Pajhwok): The Afghan Red Crescent Society (ARCS) has recommended 28 children with congenital heart defects (CHDs) for treatment and surgeries to a Kabul hospital.
ARCS wrote on its Twitter handle the children were introduced to a local hospital today (Saturday).
Over the past 12 months, ARCS has introduced 1,530 children suffering from heart diseases to different hospitals for medical treatment, according to the tweet.
The organisation previously sent children with cardiac issues, broken bones and severe burns to the German Peace Village for treatment but such facilities are now available in Kabul.
