KABUL (Pajhwok): Acting Commerce and Industry Minister Nooruddin Azizi attended a meeting between Afghan and Kazakh businessmen commencing in Astana on Wednesday.
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) said the business communication meeting began in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan.
Akhundzada Abdul Salam Javed, a spokesman for MoCI, told Pajhwok Afghan News that businessmen from banking, transportation and transit, telecommunications, energy, exports and imports, beverages and food, carpet and handicrafts, agriculture, livestock and sweets, spices, flour, wheat and edible oil, oil and gas, fresh and dried fruits, precious and semi-precious stones, logistics and services, industry and construction were participating in the meeting.
The participants will discuss and exchange views on issues ranging from effective use of capacities of both sides, increasing trade, addressing challenges and problems and enhancing coordination and communication between the private sectors of Afghanistan and Kazakhstan.
On the sidelines of the meeting, a joint exhibition of Afghan and Kazakh products was also held, in which 350 companies from Afghanistan showcased their products.
