Cyclist dies after being hit by car in Bamyan

BAMYAN CITY (Pajhwok): A man riding a bicycle was killed after being hit by a car in this capital city of central Bamyan province, police said on Saturday.

The cyclist collided with a corolla car in Shahidan area of Bamyan city and died on Friday afternoon, police spokesman Mohammad Khawani Rasa told Pajhwok Afghan News.

He said the accident took place around 3:30pm in ‘Ambersmoch’ village of Shahidan area.

He added that the car driver has been arrested.

The accident comes a day after one person died and five others were injured in three traffic accidents in Bamyan.
