KABUL (Pajhwok): United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF) has announced that 85 percent of the victims of landmine explosions and unexploded ordnances in Afghanistan were children.
In its X handle, UNICEF wrote: “Afghanistan is one of the most weapons-contaminated countries in the world, and children represent about 85% of casualties.”
“With @EUinAfghanistan, UNICEF teaches children to recognize and avoid unexploded ordnances, using practice settings like this at a child-friendly space,” the source added.
