UNRC extends Bennett’s mandate

KABUL (Pajhwok): The UN Human Rights Council has extended special rapporteur Richard Bennett’s mandate on the situation of human rights in Afghanistan.

Bennett wrote on X: “I thank HRC54 for extending the mandate of SR on the situation of human rights in #Afghanistan.”

“It is an honour to serve in this mandate, working to report on & seek improvements to the promotion & protection of human rights, independently & impartially.”
