KABUL (Pajhwok): The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) chief spokesman on Monday condemned airstrikes by Pakistan’s military regime on eastern Kunar and southeaster Paktika provinces.
He said the neighbouring country’s military circles have once again committed a crime to divert attention from their security failures and that Afghans will give an appropriate response.
IEA chief spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said Pakistan’s military regime once again bombed civilian areas in Kunar and Paktika on Sunday night.
He wrote on his X account that the attacks martyred one woman and two men and injured two women and two men in Kunar, all of them civilians.
Mujahid added that a house and a shop were bombed in Paktika, but there were no casualties.
He said: “We condemn this aggression and oppression and call it a repetition of crimes; Pakistan’s military circles have once again committed such a crime in an attempt to divert attention from security failures in their own country, to which Afghans will give an appropriate response.”
According to local officials, the attacks took place in Nurgal district of Kunar and Barmal district of Paktika.
