KABUL (Pajhwok): The Afghanistan Embassy in Malaysia has officially launched issuing passports to Afghan refugees, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) said on Wednesday.
Hafiz Zia Ahmad Takal, MoFA deputy spokesman, wrote on X handle: “The process of issuing passports in Malaysia was started during a special ceremony following efforts of the Afghan consulate and Afghan embassy in that country.”
He said Naqibullah Ahmadi, Afghan ambassador in Malaysia, assured Afghans living in that country of providing consular services in a transparent and fast manner.
Earlier, MoFA had announced starting distribution of passports to Afghans in Pakistan, Iran, Turkey, Uzbekistan and the United Arab Emirates.
