LASHKARGAH (Pajhwok): Over 1,100 teachers for religious schools in Central Logar and southern Helmand province will be appointed, officials said on Sunday.
An examination was held today (Sunday) in Lashkargah, the capital of Helmand province for this purpose.
Helmand Education Director Mawlavi Mohammad Ewas Ansari said the 700 ulema appeared in the test to ensure the qualified and talented persons are picked as teachers.
He said 600 individuals who pass the test would be appointed at different madrassas.
In Logar, 515 candidates, including 50 women appeared in a test for teachers positions.
Education Department Spokesperson Shapur Arab said 515 new teachers, including 50 women, would be appointed in different madrassas in Logar.
He said an examination for this purpose would be taken from candidates in the near future.
