FAIZABAD/JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Two people, including a child, have been killed and three others wounded in two separate traffic accidents in eastern Nangarhar and northeastern Badakhshan provinces, officials said on Sunday.
Badakhshan police spokesman Ehsanullah Kamgar said the accident took place in Tagab village of Arghanjkhwa district after a vehicle veered off the road and overturned on Saturday afternoon.
He said one person lost his life and three others were injured in the incident.
In Nangarhar, police spokesman Abdul Basir Zabuli told Pajhwok Afghan News an 8-year-old child was killed after being hit by a truck in Ahmadzai station area of Sorkhrud district.
He said the child’s body was handed over to her family and the truck driver has been arrested.
