KABUL (Pajhwok): An agreement worth over $247.4 million for the extraction of one-half of the third block of lead and zinc mines in Ghor’s Shahrak district has been signed with a domestic company.
The Ministry of Mines and Petroleum (MoMP) wrote on its X handle on Friday that the contract was inked with the Khpalwak Kazimi Extraction Company, which would invest $247.4 million in the extraction project.
The contracting company has agreed to spend $10 million on the provision of civil services in the area and performing 100 percent of the processing works within the country.
