KABUL (Pajhwok): The regional level limited overs cricket tournament of differently abled persons will begin from first March in southern Kandahar province, according to the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) on Sunday.
ACB wrote on its Facebook, the 12th edition of the “Shaheed Najeebullah Tarakai” differently abled persons Regional T20 Tournament is set to begin on Friday March 1, 2024.
ACB added the event will feature 5 regional cricket teams that are scheduled to compete in a round-robin format from March 1-8 in Kandahar province in accordance with the ACB’s annual domestic cricket schedule.
In this event the Mes Ainak, Band-i-Amir, Bost, Spin Ghar and Amo regional teams will participate.
According to ACB’s information, this will be the third domestic tournament played in accordance with its annual domestic time-table after this, three-day Mirwais Nikah and many more domestic competitions will be held at the zonal level as well.
The Spin Ghar Cricket team won the title of championship last year.
