Floods, lightning leave 3 dead, 1 wounded in Badghis

QALA-I-NAW (Pajhwok): Flash floods killed two men and damaged houses and lightning strike killed a woman and injured a girl in western Badghis province, an official said on Thursday.

Police spokesman Sediqullah Sediqi in a statement said one man died in Dahan Jar village of Dar-i-Boom district on Wednesday due to flooding.

Separately, lightning killed a woman and injured a girl in Dah Berenj village of Qadis district, Sediqi added.

According to Sediqi, a 35-year-old man lost his life due to heavy floods in Patang village of Tagab Alam district.

Badghis police chief Abdul Sattar has directed security personnel in Qala-i-Naw city and districts to be prepared in their areas to help the people in case of danger.
