KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan for the first time has exported 11,000 tonnes of goods to Turkiye from the Rozank railway station, the country’s railway authority said on Saturday.
On its Twitter handle, the Afghanistan Railway Authority (ARA) said the Rozank railway station is linked to the Khawaf-Herat third railway line which is 62 kilometres long.
The source said that initially one train would transfer commercial goods daily and later it could be increased to two trains considering the amount of trade goods.
The exported goods included the Talc stones which were exported to the Turkiye Marsing City.
It was the first time that after the takeover of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, export had taken place through railway.
