30 suicide incidents occur in Balkh last year

MAZAR-I-SHARIF (Pajhwok): About 30 suicide and five kidnapping incidents took place in northern Balkh province during the past one year, police said on Thursday.

In a statement, the police headquarters said anti- crimes department had recorded 1,020 different incidents from 1402 to 1403 solar year.

It said the incidents included 30 suicides, five kidnapping, 169 armed robberies, 157 moral corruption and some other cases.

About 1,472 suspects, including 257 women, have been arrested in connection with the cases, the statement concluded.
