TIRINKOT (Pajhwok): A local journalist has been killed as a result of a clash between two families in the capital of central Uruzgan province, an official said on Wednesday.
Director of Information and Culture Qari Agha Wali told Pajhwok Afghan News the clash erupted in the Safid Khar area of Tirinkot, on Tuesday afternoon.
He said: “A verbal dispute between the two families turned into a brawl, with both sides using knives. It resulted in the killing of Ehsanullah Pakhtun, a local journalist.”
According to the official, security forces have arrested four individuals in connection with the incident, which left one individual injured.
Pakhtun worked for a radio station called Shama (Candle) in Uruzgan.
