Afghanistan finish 3rd in South Asia Bodybuilding C’ship

KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghan bodybuilding team finished third in the 14th South Asia Bodybuilding Championship by winning three gold, five silver and three bronze medals in the Maldives.

The Afghanistan Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation (ABBFF) wrote on its Facebook page that Muslim Shah Faqiri, NasibullahAzimi and Naib Mubariz won gold medals in the championship.

Faramarz Ekramzada ,Wahidullah Sediqi, Mehdi Asalmi and Sattar Hussaini bagged  silver medals while Shahid Sahim clinched a bronze medal on the first day of the contest.

The Maldives is hosting the South Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championship for the second consecutive year.

Athletes from 14 countries participated in the event, including 11 from Afghanistan.

Afghanistan finished third with 370 points and India emerged the winners with 740 points and the Maldives with 500 points ended up as runners-up.
