PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): Scores of Afghan nationals have been arrested by Pakistani security forces for illegally crossing into southwestern Balochistan province, local officials say.
At least 85 Afghans were detained in the Chaghai district of the province after being found without legal travel documents on the Pakistani side of the Durand Line.
Dawn quoted unnamed sources as saying the Afghan citizens, seeking to find their way to neighbouring Iran, had entered Pakistan illegally.
Following their arrests, the Afghan nationals were handed over to the Levies, a paramilitary force, for further investigation.
On the completion legal formalities and procedures, one Levies official said, the Afghan nationals would be deported to their homeland through the Baracha crossing.
