KABUL (Pajhwok): Ahead of the start of a UN-convened meeting in Doha, Zabihullah Mujahid, who leads the delegation from Afghanistan, held meetings with Uzbek and Russian envoys.
Mujahid also is scheduled to meet with special envoys of India, Saudi Arabia, Kazakhstan, UK, Norway, Indonesia, Netherlands and representatives of UN.
MoFA official Zakir Jalali wrote on X the third Doha meeting on Afghanistan would commence as planned on June 30 at 6:45pm and will end at 8:45pm local time.
On his X page, Zabihullah Mujahid wrote he had an important meeting with Russian special envoy Zamir Kabulov and both sides discussed strengthening ties between Kabul and Moscow.
He said Russia backed the IEA stance and he hailed this measure.
Mujahid also met with the special representative of the President of Uzbekistan Ismatullah Argashiv and exchanged with him views on issues related to both countries.
According to him, Uzbekistan and Afghanistan enjoy have many commercial and economic projects, and Uzbekistan expressed its strong support for the Islamic Emirate at the Doha meeting.
Zakir Jalali also wrote that before the start of the third Doha meeting, the Afghan delegation will also meet representatives of India, Saudi Arabia, Kazakhstan, Britain, Norway, Indonesia, the Netherlands and the United Nations.
