KABUL (Pajhwok): Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will travel to Russia on Monday, says a media report.
The Associated Press reported Modi would be visiting Russia for talks with President Vladimir Putin.
“Russia has had strong ties with India since the Cold War, and New Delhi’s importance as a key trading partner for Moscow has grown since the Kremlin sent troops into Ukraine in February 2022”: source added.
Under Modi’s leadership, India has avoided condemning Russia’s action in Ukraine while emphasising the need for a peaceful settlement.
Last time, the two leaders met in September 2022 at a summit of SCO in Uzbekistan.
