Afghan judoka suspended from Paris Olympics

KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghan Judoka Mohammad Samin Faizad has been suspended from Paris Olympics after he tested positive for the use of prohibited doping substance called stanozolol.

The International Testing Agency (ITA) said Faizad would not be able to participate in any Olympic activities of 2024 until a further decision.

One of the six Afghans competing at the Paris Olympics, Faizad denied in a video intentionally using the banned substance.

On July 30, Faizad had lost his first contest against his Austrian rival in the 81 kilograms category.
