KABUL (Pajhwok): Kuwaiti investors have expressed their interest in establishing a robust foundation in Afghanistan to oversee aid from Islamic countries.
Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar met the investors today (Thursday) in his office, Minister of Water and Energy Mullah Abdul Latif Mansoor was also present.
The discussions centered investment and trade opportunities in Afghanistan. The investors highlighted Afghanistan's growing appeal as an investment destination and their eagerness to explore various sectors and trade.
They also revealed plans to create a foundation that, in collaboration with the Islamic Emirate, will manage aid to ensure it benefits impoverished Afghans and supports developmental projects. This initiative aims to generate job opportunities and advance infrastructure development.
Deputy Prime Minister Baradar welcomed the investors' commitment to Afghanistan, their trade interests and the proposed developmental foundation.
He assured them of the Islamic Emirate's full support and cooperation.
