Shafiq named military attaché to Iran, says MoD

KABUL (Pajhwok): Mohammad Shafiq has been appointed and introduced as the military attaché of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) in Tehran, the Ministry of Defence said on Tuesday.

The ministry wrote on its X handle that based on its need, Shafiq had assumed the slot of the military attaché at the Afghan embassy in Tehran.

MoD called Shafiq’s appointment an important step towards strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
