HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): Security forces have rescued a child from his kidnappers in western Herat province, an official said on Tuesday.
Police spokesman Abdullah Insaf told Pajhwok Afghan News Amir had been kidnapped after leaving school last week. He was rescued by security personnel in the center, he added.
The rescued child was in good health and physical condition and was handed over to his family in the presence of security officials.
In a statement, the police headquarters said the operation to rescue the child was successfully led by police chief Haji Yasir.
The police headquarters didn’t say if someone was arrested in connection with the case.
