National Weightlifter Nazari finishes 8th in Qatar Games

KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghan Weightlifter Zubair Nazari has grabbed 8^th position in 250 kg weightlifting category in the Qatar Cup Asian Games.

Afghanistan Weightlifting Federation on its Facebook page wrote: “Zubair Nazari, a member of the national weightlifting team, finished eighth in the Qatar Cup and Asian Championships by lifting 250 kilograms.”

In these competitions, another member of the national weightlifting team, Fazal Karim Turkman, would compete against his rivals in the 102-kilogram weightlifting category this evening.

The competition, which began in Doha on December 26th with the participation of athletes from 30 countries, will conclude tomorrow.
