KABUL (Pajhwok): The Afghanistan Telecom Regulatory Authority (ATRA) and several firms have signed a contract for establishing 14 new sites in eight provinces of the country.
The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MoCIT) said ATRA signed the agreements with Etisalat, Afghan Wireless and Salaam.
Under the agreement, the firms will set up 14 new telecom networks in Kabul, Kandahar, Paktia, Paktika, Khost, Helmand, Parwan and Faryab, where access to telecom services remains limited.
